Supporting theatre, changing lives

Something to Say

Richmond Theatre Trust supports Richmond Mencap by contributing towards the running costs of their weekly dance and drama classes, held at Richmond Theatre.

In the performers’ own words: ‘Something to Say’ is about acting and dancing, making plays and dances, it’s about what we do and what we want to do’.

‘Something to Say’ targets those young adults (18-35) with learning disabilities who live or access services in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.   The goal is that they have fun and enjoy themselves with friends through dance and drama, working and performing together; get skills, make choices and work towards future employment; speak for themselves about their rights, and be a voice for people with different disabilities.

This group continues to work in the theatre on a weekly basis, and the group is excited to be performing on the Richmond Theatre stage in May 2020. Richmond Theatre Trust is proud to partner with Richmond Mencap.
